Kandy, the sacred hill-country capital, lies on a plain amidst towering hills on the banks of the wide Mahaweli River. For almost two centuries Kandy provided a safe haven for the proud Kandyan Kingdom, stubbornly resisting colonization by the European powers who had entrenched themselves in Galle and Colombo. It finally fell to the British in 1815 but to this day remains proud of its rich heritage. The town's pleasant temperate climate, its scenic location and its rich history has made it a favourite haunt for travelers

Randholee Luxury resort manages to capture the stunning view of the mountains, which the resort is richly blessed with, be it the central reception area with its impressive furniture or the cozy bedrooms or even the excellent restaurant-bar are all designed to pay homage to mother nature. A wooden bridge leads to a spacious dining area. Sri Lankan, Eastern and Western cuisine is served here prepared with fresh local produce. At a higher level is a well-stocked bar surrounded by a garden and water fountain. An informal bar lounge offers mountain views as well as a 41" Plasma TV. Randholee has a gymnasium and Ayurveda health centre A large infinity swimming pool also benefits from wonderful mountain.

Rooms
Randholee has 25 a/c bedrooms with an option of queen-size beds or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms and private balcony. 18 of the rooms have mountain views. The bathrooms have h/c water showers, washbasin and w/c. Kandyan paintings and the Palanquin theme dominates the room interiors. Rooms also have satellite tv, phone and coffee / tea facility.

Special
For residential workshops, seminars and other events, the fully equipped conference room assures a smooth session. The room accommodates 50 persons, and assures each of them a lovely time as they bask in the distinct, natural beauty and setting of our luxury resort.

The proposed business centre and library are equally useful. Featuring a picture gallery of prominent Sri Lankan personalities of the past, these places offer guests the opportunity to traverse through time and discover interesting information, facts, and figures. The business centre is also stocked with everything you may need to stay connected: computers with internet access, books, magazines, and newspapers.

There is also a fully equipped gymnasium should you need to work out. If you are overworked, stressed out, and need a break, step into the Ayurveda health centre for treatments based on the ancient Kerala Ayurvedic system. Ayurveda practices are based on the ancient wisdom of good living where one can achieve internal harmony of both the body and mind. You will be delighted and rejuvenated beyond your expectations. After all you do deserve it.

With a remarkable visual effect of water extending to the mountains, the Infinity edge swimming pool is a truly spectacular sight, especially at night when the lights reflecting on the surface make the pool resemble a lake.
